Single-cell RNA (scRNA) analysis has made it possible for researchers to investigate various biological processes, including development and differentiation. Previous scRNA studies on developing mouse skin have helped shed light the molecular cellular processes involved in regeneration of this tissue. However, these primarily focused either fetal stage or early postnatal period, leaving a gap our understanding across perinatal period. In study, we aimed fill by analyzing sequencing data public datasets collected at stages (embryonic days 13.5, 14.5, 16.5 0, 2, 4). By integrating data, were able create comprehensive single-cell map gene expression skin. Our research found that there is rapid change transcriptomic profile cells from Using time-series expression, discovered Dlk1, marker common fibroblast progenitor cells, may begin exclusively mark lower embryonic an development. We also identified genes act as markers different types fibroblasts: Apela upper fibroblasts Agtr2 fibroblasts. Lastly, study revealed dynamics potential driver during differentiation dermal condensate papilla cells.
